As you could read, SAP will at least propose the current date as delivery date. If you cross check with other discussion here in SCN, then you could read that people who wanted a blank delivery date had to use BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST to achieve this. Hence I would suggest to check if there is some coding made in your system that causes a blank delivery date for you.
